TypeTool is designed to meet the needs of entry level typographers. Those who need a quick font fix such as an addition, deletion, or manipulation of a few characters in an existing character set. The product is compatible with either TrueType or Adobe Type 1 font formats.
TypeTool's main features include a WYSIWYG Editor and the automatic kerning of characters. The WYSIWYG editor allows the user to see the font change as a variety of changes are applied to the characters. In addition, kerning or character spacing directly affect the appearance of any font. Poor character spacing means a poor appearance. TypeTool solves this problem by automatically kerning the characters for the user. Or, if necessary, the user can take control of the kerning process.
